Is it wrong that I don't believe in people my age being able to be in love?

Because I don’t.

And even the wife says that she was in love as a teen.

I mean, I don’t know. To me, it feels like a huge commitment that most people my age aren’t able to commit to, don’t have the capacity to commit to.

I think you can definitely love someone, for sure, but not be in love with them in that overly romantic sense.

I absolutely hate it when people who have like barely started going out say I love you to each other. Right, 3 days in a relationship and you’re in love?

I think we need to redefine what being in love is.

And this is oh so ironic because I called someone I don’t know (Sara Quin) my wife. Yepp.

That’s what I thought at first. But then, if you think about it, the definition of love is subjective and people love differently. And children are the most innocent in the world so they love freely… therefore, they have more of a capacity to truly “love”. Just another POV..

Haha, yeah. I kind of agree with Christine. There is no solid definition or guideline that tells you what being in love feels like; just a universal understanding of what it consists of - such as happiness? commitment? warmth? sacrifice? etc.

But no, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. :P

Haha but like the kids love.. I don’t think that’s really being in love? Like if that makes sense. I’m thinking more like… soul mates forever type thing. Like I don’t think teens like us can be like I love you, I want to be with you forever, we’re soul mates. I just think that we just like people a lot? Like maybe we feel like we’re in love, but we’re not?

So I just reread that whole thing in my head, it doesn’t make sense, and I’m sorry. hahah

I totes (best word ever) get you. It makes me so mad when I watch shows and I see kids being like all serious and *~I LOVE you~*. It’s like…wait you’ve known them a week, how is that possible. I think to be in love with someone you have to have been through a lot with them. You have to have suffered with them, have sacrificed, have been tested even…like have had your love tested? I don’t know. I just think love is something that develops after a while. You have to have gone to the depths of hell and yet still find them the most amazing, fascinating, captivating person ever. And obviously that will only happen very very rarely. So…chances are when people say they love someone…do they really? Idk.

Wow mine didn’t make sense either. Hahaha. Ahhhhh. Too tired. Too much math that fried my brain.
